Today William saw the Farrier (his name is Ramon). He was an absolute angel. What made it better was that Ramon was commenting how nice his feet are. Ramon took his time and I couldn't have asked for a better day or shoeing session. When Ramon was finished he took his rasp (a metal tool used to file down the hooves), angled it on its side and gave William a nice back scratch. Then, he gave William a hug.
I was VERY proud.
Our next appointment is in 5 weeks.
I would have ridden if it weren't for the fact that certain biological processes have begun EARLY..(*grump*) which make sitting in the saddle...uncomfortable to say the least.
That's it for today - I'm also proud to report that my jeans are fitting more loosely, although the scale isn't saying much.
Oh he is just great! I am super pleased with him and he is a very nice guy. I think he was also genuinely pleased and surprised with William. He said that some horses if they are bad - get the rasp on the butt (I think he was kidding).
